# Loopset Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 26, 2026.

Loopset is a macOS menu bar app for switching between running apps and named Work Loops. It stores its settings locally on your Mac and uses macOS Accessibility permission only for the core switching interaction.

## Summary

- No sign-in, no user account, and no profile setup
- No in-app analytics, ads, tracking, or remote sync
- Accessibility access is required so Loopset can respond to its shortcut flow and switch between running apps

## Information Loopset Handles on Your Mac

- **Preferences and setup**
Loopset stores shortcut configuration, Work Loops, visible app count, and onboarding state in local app preferences on your device.

- **Running and installed app information**
Loopset reads app names and bundle identifiers from installed and running macOS apps so it can populate the switcher, let you build Work Loops, and activate the app you choose.

- **Frontmost app context**
Loopset observes which app is currently active so the switcher can stay oriented around your current workflow.

- **No remote usage profile**
Loopset does not upload your app list, frontmost-app context, or preferences to a Loopset-operated backend in the current product.

## Permissions

Loopset does not use App Store accessibility permissions. It operates strictly within the confines of a standard Mac Sandbox utilizing Carbon hotkeys and active local monitors to respect user privacy.

Loopset does not use camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendars, screen recording, or advertising/tracking permissions for its current feature set.

## What Loopset Does Not Do in the Current Build

- No account system
- No in-app analytics or tracking
- No cloud sync or remote storage
- No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties
- No hidden recording of keystrokes, screen content, audio, or video

## Retention and Control

Loopset's saved preferences remain on your Mac until you change them, reset them, or remove the app and its local data. Because Loopset does not require an account, there is no separate online profile to access or delete.

If you want to clear Loopset's local data, remove the app and its stored preferences from your Mac. If Loopset later introduces online services, this policy will be updated before those services are enabled.
